Strathcona CPC presents “Warm Winter Wishes”

Over the past month, your Strathcona CPC has teamed up with the KOMCPC on a program we are calling Warm Winter Wishes.

The program purchased and put together winter safety packages featuring:

  • Gloves
  • Socks
  • Toque
  • Rain Poncho
  • Hygiene products
  • Christmas chocolates

On November 13th, 2020, these package (Over 350 of them!), were delivered to three different organizations in the downtown east side that service the most vulnerable our community. The WISH Drop In Centre, the Carnegie Outreach Centre and Al Mitchell Place at the Lookout. These organizations were then tasked with distributing them to their members and clients that would benefit from them the most.

Thank you to the Vancouver Police Foundation, and the 5 Produce Row companies (Fresh Point, Van-Whole Produce, The Produce Terminal, Fresh Direct and Discovery Organics) for you funding to help make this a reality! We can’t wait to see the colourful backpacks that we provided in the neighbourhood.

Finally, thank you to all of our amazing volunteers for their help. Without you this would not have been possible!

Strathcona CPC Reopens to the Public – June 2

We’re Back!

The Strathcona CPC is thrilled to open our doors once again to the public. We will be open for our regular hours, Monday to Thursday 10:00am to 6:00pm and Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

“In a way we never really left. We have always remained open by phone and email throughout. But the strength of this organization is interacting directly with our community, talking about safety and community concerns. So we have really missed that face to face interaction.” Dan Turvill, Executive Director.
